Nazrul to the young generation

 

In the first season of Coke Studio Bangla, the voices of Rituraj and Nandita are heard as 'Bulbuli'. Nazrul's song composed by Arnab has been viewed more than 2 crore 15 lakh 92 thousand times till last Tuesday (in 14 months). On the other hand, Nazrul's song 'Dandale Duare', which was released a month ago, has been viewed more than 77 lakh 52 thousand times. This song sung by Ishaan and Nandita is also composed by Arnav.

Nazrul music artist Sujit Mostafa thinks that many of the young generation did not know about the two songs 'Bulbuli' and 'Dandale Duare'. He said, 'The excellence of the presentation, the beautiful music composition, the camera work and the performance - all in all these two songs have become known to everyone. This is a great achievement. But the thing is, listening for the sake of listening and practicing that song with inspiration are different things. The problem is that singing is hard work. Nazrul's songs are much more difficult. As a result, the number of people who listen to it for the pleasure of listening will not be so motivated by the joy of learning. Because, we don't have that kind of infrastructure here, where an artist can make a living in our country by practicing this kind of music!'

A few artists of the country have been working with different presentations of Nazrul Sangeet for several years. Among them is Tanveer Alam Sajeeb, Arnav is also there. They have presented Nazrul Sangeet to the audience in different musical arrangements. Apart from this, a few other artistes of the younger generation have been seen performing modern Nazrul music on birthdays and death days
