Grameenphone is going to launch e-SIM for the first time in Bangladesh.

E-SIM! It may seem unbelievable decades ago, but now it is.

Grameenphone is going to launch e-SIM for the first time in Bangladesh.

E-SIM is basically 'Embedded Subscriber Identity Module'. It is a small electronic chip that enables mobile network without a plastic SIM card. Thanks to e-SIM, there will be no need to insert a plastic SIM card in the smartphone separately, if you have the opportunity to use e-SIM in your smartphone.

The biggest advantage of e-SIM is that it makes it possible to easily change the network i.e. mobile operator. With the help of this, the network of different companies can be used as required.

The e-SIM will be available on March 7 this year at certain Grameenphone Centers and GP online shops.

But the happiest thing is that it is environmentally friendly. Grameenphone's remarkable initiative to prioritize climate issues is truly commendable.

Millions of people around the world are already taking advantage of this. It is estimated that e-SIM usage will increase to 3.4 billion worldwide by 2025.
